Get Lean

Hey Everyone!!
I recently purchased The Get Lean Crossrope kit. I've never jumped before this, I LOVE IT !!
I will need to learn, so it will take me time to get up to speed haha..I like the 1/2 lb rope , Any way I love it , once I catch up I'm looking at buying the AMP handles too, to really get fully involved.

Top quality jumping rope set all around. Love the feel and ease with which I can change to different weighted ropes. I only wish the membership was included with the AMP handle purchase.

Best purchase I’ve ever made!

I'm an ex boxer and used to skip as part of my daily training routine. I was 12 stone (168lbs) when I boxed, and I could skip all day. 30 years on I'm 50 years old and significantly more attractive.. to gravity unfortunately.
I have one kid, he's now at the point where he's a little more self sufficient and I'm beginning to get some time back to spend on myself again. I wanted to get back into skipping as it's such an effective way to warm up, tone up, and just tie all of your other body focus exercises together. I used speed ropes when I boxed, but being 220lbs now I'm slower, less agile, and find that I trip regularly and frustratingly. Speed ropes need to spin fast in order to hold their shape, and I'm no longer as fast as I was.
I went through numerous different rope types from synthetic, to fine steel cable, to leather, but nothing really helped until I invested in my Crossropes - Get Lean ropes. They come with two sets of weighted ropes, 1/4lb and 1/2lb. The 1/4lb hit the sweet sport for me, I was back skipping at my relaxed bounce pace instantly. My son was so impressed when he saw me criss cross he had to try for himself. The 1/2lb ropes are also great, you feel the workout in your arms and shoulders instantly and it's great for shorter strength training sessions. The ropes interchange very quickly by just clicking firmly onto the handles, so you can mix and match during your session. I like to start with the lighter 1/4lbs set to warm up, then transition to the 1/2 set for a short burst.
The ropes arrived quickly, and service from Crossropes has been amazing. It's great to feel part of something that someone has really been passionate and taken pride in creating.

I really enjoy my lean handles and the 1/4 and 1/2 lb ropes. I am new and learning, but they provide a good amount of feedback to feel your timing and tempo so you can adjust. I do suggest you start slow for sure cause if you whip yourself at high speeds, they are very unforgiving due to the weight and material :) got a couple lashings when trying to learn crosses. Overall very nice products though. My only gripe is one of my handles is a little squeaky, but doesn’t impact performance, if there’s anything I can do to fix that I would appreciate some advice.

I tried a few sets of ropes already and I have to say these are the best ones in my opinion of you want to use weighted ropes. They are on the more expensive side, for sure, but totally worth it. I got my first set almost 2 years ago and the handles and ropes still feel like brand new. Super happy with the set and currently looking at the Get Strong set as well.

Love the heavier feel of the ropes. Not only do I skip better to and find a rhythm much easier and more consistently, but it works out a lot more muscles.

The ropeless system is pretty nice too. It’s not as tough of a work out but you aren’t thinking about the rope hitting your feet but it’s definitely close, and great for tight spaces.

The matt is great for carpeted surfaces in my home.

I got the Get Lean set (S) as I am 5'4" and I'm loving using them. It is a great work out! The ropes feel sturdy however they squeak with every skip, and I have been using them for only two weeks.

Great build quality and the ropes provide a challenging yet enjoyable workout.
Plus, the customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful.
